Description: |
This 1890s original gold pin features a horseshoe with a prong-set natural pearl at the top center flanked by seven prong-set rubies. The horseshoe is crossed by a riding crop with a textured woven design on the whip and a beehive design on the handle. The crop is tipped by a natural pearl. The whip end is wrapped around the handle at the center of the pin. There is a safety clasp on the back. Marked on back with unidentified mark and 585 (14Kt gold). The pin is 14Kt yellow gold with 22Kt gold wash, typical of the art nouveau era. It is in very good antique condition. Size: 7/8" (2.3cm) x 1-1/2" (3.8cm) Weight: 7.5g | |
